Outreach extracts

Now I know I have my work cut out for me...trying to convince you guys we were really doing ministry in the midst of all this God-expressive beauty... We had fun, we were refreshed by nature, as we poured out from our life experiences to others about who God is, and what He is like.

No wonder Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed here in St. Vincent. Look!

That's Mayreau behind us...

The staff team at the Waterfalls just off Chateaubelair, St. Vincent where we stayed for two weeks doing ministry.

Seriously! We did ministry...got the pics to prove it!

Matt shared his testimony before an entire school, nerve-wracking!! But in his open honesty, he really reached the young men who stared attentively the whole time.

At another school, we do devotionals with kids, teaching them the crowd pleasing song "hallelu, hallelu, hallelu, hallelujah, praise ye the Lord" Everywhere we went, the kids went crazy for this song with actions.

Our Vincentian YWAM staffer Annie Bob, attempts to choreograph these flapping limbs into a dance. It went well eventually, but it was serious work getting these kids disciplined, attentive and involved. Funny how discipling youth can take different shapes and methods.

The Kitchen Mitt puppet show on "Loving your Brother" went over very well. Even the kids on a sugar high sat still in rapt attention.

My main area of ministry in Mayreau was working in the "kitchen"- as you can see, what you see is what you get. Making meals without meat (we had no refrigeration all week) took lots of creativity and hard work. Meatless chili, lots of tuna sandwiches, and pastas...

As we load up the ferry to head home, we already miss Mayreau. The single most beautiful, challenging, intense section of our outreach ended abruptly as we headed back to St. Vincent to work with a few more schools. Outreach is winding down..

Ren, Danya, Nina- hanging out after our women's breakfast date. This is how we mixed re-entry training, girl talk debriefing, and lunch all into one. A history eatery with ridiculous prices made us slow down and take time to enjoy each other. yes, i have bags under my eyes. get over it!

some pics dont need words...

the end.

Obviously in the few pictures of a blog update, we could not portray our whole outreach. Or even our whole DTS experience. So you know what? When we come to PA, your neck of the woods, give us a call, come to our drop-in, stop by and we'd love to fill you in on the big things you were a part of through your prayers!

Love-daisy
