Ok...so the immigration process wasnt smoothly wrapped up with John's second visit to Kingston. They had needed my signature to wrap things up, but i was here in Montego Bay with the DTS students. Ah sweet bureaucracy!! So today we go back for an overnight trip to Kingston (with me driving both ways!!) to get things done right once and for all.
With this process cleared, it means that John will be able to legally work and live in Jamaica for a year without provocation or extra bills.
We'll let you know when this is over once and for all.
In DTS news, the students are having a blast! Sitting through class after class with them and watching the lights come on in their minds when they realise areas of their lives that were keeping them in bondage, and when they realise that God's intent in revealing things is to bring healing...its priceless. To be standing with them, praying things through wtih them, walking with them through painful things in their pasts that God is ready to dig up and heal...Nothing can be quite so rewarding.
We are like young parents of teens, being shoulders they can lean on, firm yet gentle.
Its been a growing time for me, definitely. And God has been stretching, cutting, pruning and healing areas of my own life through this process. Amazing.
Prayer requests: Some students are having a hard time looking at the past so God can bring healing. Some serious suppression is going on with a few of them. Please pray that God exposes darkness and brings his light. Pray also for wisdom for us as staff that we would be loving yet firm, and know Blessings to you friends!
